Privacy policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Novera ("Novera", "we", "us") runs itsnovera.com (the "Site") and sells RENEW through it. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the Site, buy from us, or talk to us; why we collect it; how we use and share it; how long we keep it; and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Site, to our emails and text messages, and to our conversations with you by email or phone. If you have questions, or want to exercise any of the rights below, email support@itsnovera.com.
Our Site is hosted by Shopify, and some of what happens to your information is governed by Shopify's own privacy practices; Section 3 explains that relationship. If this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service ever disagree about personal information, this Privacy Policy controls.
1. The information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — your name, email address, postal address, and phone number, when you order, create an account, join our email or text list, or write to us.
- Account details — your login, password, preferences, and settings, if you create an account.
- Order and payment details — what you bought, when, for how much, your billing and shipping addresses, and your payment method. Card numbers go directly to our payment processors; we see only the last four digits, the card type, and whether the payment succeeded.
- Subscription details — your plan, renewal date, and any pauses, skips, or cancellations.
- What you tell us — the contents of your emails, texts, and support conversations, and any survey or promotion entries. Please do not send us health or medical information; if you ask us a question that involves your health, we will point you to your healthcare provider.
- Reviews — if you leave a product review, the name, rating, text, and any photo you submit, which we may publish on the Site.
- Your mobile number and text-message consent, if you opt in to our text-message program.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers collect technical information with cookies and similar technologies (Section 4): your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, screen size, the pages you view and the links you click, how you arrived at the Site, the items you look at or add to your cart, and whether you open or click our emails. We use this to run the Site, understand what is working, remember your cart, and — if you have not opted out — show you our advertising elsewhere.
Information from others
We receive information about you from the services that help us run the store: Shopify (orders, accounts, analytics), our payment processors (whether a payment succeeded and fraud signals), shipping carriers (delivery status), and our email and text provider (whether a message was delivered or opened). If you interact with us on a social network, we may see the information you have made public there, under that network's own privacy policy. If you give us someone else's information — for example a gift recipient's address — you confirm you are allowed to.
2. How we use it
- To take, fulfil, ship, and support your orders, and to run your subscription, including the reminder we send before every charge.
- To create and manage your account and remember your preferences.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To send you marketing emails and, if you have opted in, text messages — and to stop the moment you ask us to.
- To ask for a product review after a purchase.
- To run promotions, promo codes, and giveaways you take part in.
- To understand how the Site is used and make it better.
- To show our advertising on other websites and apps, unless you opt out (Section 6).
- To keep the Site and our customers safe: to verify accounts, prevent and investigate fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To meet our legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in these ways:
- Service providers that act on our instructions: Shopify (our store platform, checkout, and analytics), payment processors, shipping and fulfilment carriers, Klaviyo (our email and text-message provider), Loox (our reviews provider), and the tools we use for customer support and operations. Each may use your information only to provide its service to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners. When we run advertising, we may use Shopify's pixel tools to share limited browsing and purchase signals — such as the pages you viewed or that you bought — with advertising platforms so we can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited the Site. Under some state privacy laws this counts as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "targeted advertising", and you can opt out at any time (Section 6).
- Shopify. Shopify hosts the Site and processes information about your use of it to provide and improve the store for you, and it may use that information, together with data from other Shopify stores, to power the store's enhanced features. For those uses Shopify is responsible for your information and for answering your requests about it. Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy explains more, and you can exercise rights over data Shopify holds at privacy.shopify.com.
- When you ask us to — for example to ship to someone else, or when you use a social-media widget or login.
- For legal reasons — to comply with a law, subpoena, or lawful request; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Novera, our customers, or others. We will tell you about a legal demand for your information when we can and when the law allows.
- If Novera changes hands — in a merger, sale, financing, or similar transaction, your information may transfer to the new owner under this Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device; "similar technologies" include pixels in web pages and emails, local storage, and device identifiers. The Site uses four kinds:
- Essential — needed for the Site to work: your cart, checkout, security, and remembering that you are signed in. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional — remembering your preferences so the Site works better for you.
- Analytics — understanding how visitors use the Site, provided mainly by Shopify.
- Advertising — set by advertising platforms when we run ads, to measure them and show them to people who have visited the Site.
You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Site from working. You can opt out of advertising cookies and pixels on our data-sharing opt-out page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device, and for your account if we can connect the two. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
5. Email and text messages
Email. We send marketing emails to people who have joined our list or bought from us. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email support@itsnovera.com. Unsubscribing does not stop the emails you need — order confirmations, shipping updates, subscription reminders, and notices about your account or these policies.
Text messages. If you opt in to our text-message program you will receive recurring automated marketing and account texts from Novera, as described in our Terms of Service. Reply STOP to any message to stop, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is never a condition of buying from us, and we do not share your text-message opt-in or consent with anyone other than the provider that sends the messages for us.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights over your personal information. We honour them for everyone who asks, wherever the law allows:
- Know and access — to learn what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct — to have inaccurate information corrected.
- Delete — to have your personal information deleted, subject to exceptions such as records we must keep for tax, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.
- Portability — to receive your information in a usable format.
- Opt out of "sale", "sharing", and targeted advertising — use our data-sharing opt-out page or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from any email, or reply STOP to any text.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
- Appeal — if we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider, and depending on where you live you may complain to your state's attorney general or data-protection authority.
To make a request, email support@itsnovera.com from the address on your account or order, or write to us at the address in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting — usually by matching your request to the details we already hold — and we will respond within the time the law requires, normally 45 days. You may use an authorised agent; we will ask for proof that you have authorised them and may ask you to confirm directly.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the rights above, and you are entitled to know the categories of personal information we have collected in the last 12 months and how we used them. They are: identifiers (name, email, address, phone, IP address, account ID); customer-records information (billing and shipping details, order history); commercial information (what you bought and when); internet activity (pages viewed, links clicked, device and browser information); inferences we draw from your activity to remember your interests; and, only if you send it to us, the contents of your communications. We collect them from you, from your device, and from the service providers named in Section 3, for the purposes in Section 2, and we disclose them to those service providers. Identifiers, commercial information, and internet activity may be "shared" with advertising platforms for targeted advertising when we run ads; the other categories are not sold or shared. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you. Under California's "Shine the Light" law you may also ask what personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing in the past year; we do not disclose personal information for that purpose.
Residents of other US states
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law — including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia — the rights above apply to you as that law provides, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the right to appeal our decision. We do not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Residents outside the United States
We ship only within the United States, but the Site can be viewed from anywhere. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your information on the bases that data-protection law allows — to perform a contract with you, with your consent, to meet a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interests in running and protecting the Site — and you have the rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, port, and object to our processing of your information, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Where we transfer information out of those regions we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above: while you have an account or an active subscription, for as long as needed to complete and support an order, and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting, and legal rules require or as needed to resolve disputes and prevent fraud. Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When we no longer need information we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and the security measures Shopify and our payment processors maintain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, and email is not a secure channel for sensitive information. If you create an account, keep your password private and tell us if you think it has been used without your permission.
9. Children
The Site and our products are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@itsnovera.com and we will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, including the research we cite and the social networks we use. We do not control them, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. Please read their own policies before you share information with them.
11. Where your information goes
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored here, including by Shopify and our other service providers, some of whom may operate elsewhere. By using the Site you agree to that processing, and we require our providers to protect your information in line with this Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and if a change materially affects how we use your information we will give you more prominent notice, such as by email or a notice on the Site.
